Yes. Manitoba Health covers physician visits and insured primary care services at our clinic.

A Manitoba Health card is required for insured services. However, we also accept select private insurance and offers self‑pay options.

Can newcomers to Manitoba get care at EMCare?
Yes. Newcomers can receive care once they have a Manitoba Health Card. Temporary visitors may use private or travel insurance. If you are from a different province, you can use your provincial health card except Quebec. You can also pay in cash if you are not covered.
How do newcomers apply for Manitoba Health coverage?
Apply through the Manitoba Health online portal. Processing typically takes about two to three weeks. You can also visit 300 Carlton Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 3M9,
